Not really.....Consider that because of his history of injuries. Parcells and co. only view him as a complimentary player, not as a featured back. His days of carrying the ball 30 times a game and being on pace for a 1000 yards are over. Its been proven that if he's asked to carry the load his body will break down. The way that he was used in 2009 proved that the Dolphins brass was/is thinking the same thing.

Ronnie Brown has proven he can't stay healthy for an entire season and Chatman is a solid, physical running back with break away speed. Nowadays you need 3 good rb's on a roster as 1 is likely to get hurt.Lorenzo Booker showed signs of being very special last year. The type of player who can pick up 1st downs on 3rd down and create big plays with his speed.I know he doesn't play on special teams and he isn't the Parcells type. But you find a place for a guy like that. D Megget wasn't Parcells type

The Cowboys feel as though Zach Thomas is an upgrade over Ayodele and he probably is in some respects. But in the 3/4 scheme he'll have to shoot gaps and take on guards and centers. That's not his strong suit, and at times he'll be dominated. The Dolphins wanted to get younger and save money.Zach ACTUALLY HAD 2 concussions last year which forced him to miss week 3(Jets) week 4(Raiders) etc...He then received concussion #2 driving home from the Patriots game week 7 in an accident.

No, I know Pasqualoni has alot to do with the evolution of this defense, but he is a Parcells guy and he uses the same kind of philosophy, that is why Parcells brought him on board, and got rid of a very good DC in Dom Capers (Not criticizing that move, just saying Capers is good), Hoodie evolved into a coach and cheater that is totally seperate from the Tuna, all his D requires is an AARP membership, but most of the guys that Tuna taught stick to his methods and philosophy.

the correct saying would have been, he is not a Bill Parcells 3-4 LB... look at the size of the LBs starting for Miami this year. Porter - 6'3" 255; Ayodele - 6'2" 245; Crowder - 6'2" 250; Roth - 6'4" 275... compare those to Zach Thomas - 5'11" 220.. and it has been that way every where he went... he does not like little LBs, he likes them big and really strong, and they got the benefit that Crowder now prepares just like Thomas did, so they got a student of the game leading them with Porter.

I don't think so, their 1-2 punch in Williams and Brown will make Chatman soon be forgotten, and essentially they got their starting TE and ILB (Fasano and Ayodele) basically for Booker, as they moved Booker for a 4th, which replaced the 4th they sent to Dallas for those 2... Plus, I honestly think that Jalen Parmele will prove to be a very good RB as well. BTW, I think Taylor would have been fine for the OLB in the 3-4, but the 2nd alone was worth moving him, for future help.

Zach's not a 3/4 linebacker...He's too small to take on blockers and he's a concussion case now. Jason Taylor lost a lot of weight in the offseason and he is also too small to play in a 3/4 scheme. In addition, the Dolphins received a high draft pick for him which is needed to get younger and build for the future. Plus they saved money under the cap etc etc...There's a million reasons. The Phins should have kept Jesse Chatman and Lorenzo Booker though.
yeah they had a good draft, bill parcells knows his shit

Undrafted free agent Devon Bess is just glad he has a job in the N.F.L. and not parking cars.
