Aw, I seem to be among a minority who agree that this is among the best video game songs out there. :)

This city seems like it would be awesome to live in.

a very good *JRPG* song, to be sure, but not the best of all video game songs, IMO
-
this is easily one of the most awesome non-battle themes i've ever heard

Heh, I know what you mean about Sakuraba - but you can't really blame him. He's usually contracted for several games each year, and those soundtracks are almost always a minimum of two disks of music - it'd be really hard to still have it all be distinct! But, you can't fault him for having really beautiful music regardless, and when he does do something that's worth noticing, it's gorgeous.

Hmm, wouldn't put this as beating anything from Chrono Cross, but it certainly does have a weird off-kilter rhythm...

Is that good or bad? :p I don't really know. Chrono Cross might be a little bit played out for me since it's like my favorite game ever so I've heard the music a lot...
PS: I used your FAQ for Golden Sun 2 and it helped a lot so thanks.

...Nah. Honestly, this sounds like an average-grade Tales song. It's not bad, but, I've played so many Motoi Sakuraba-composed songs that this is indistinct, even for a city theme to me.

I'm not that big of a fan of Sakuraba anymore, actually, as most of his stuff sounds the same, especially his Tales stuff. This stood out for me a LOT, though. It feels incredibly airy and happy.
