@k0smon I know Bart was a Christian before, and I am not saying that Bart's debate is not a valid one and should be disregarded. In fact, he poses some really good questions. This is a really good video debate "Does The Bible Misquote Jesus? (Debate, 2010)" between Bart and Craig. Regardless of whether people side with Bart or Craig, people should take the time to study and conduct their own research.

@Higherdreams ::: You have accepted the bible as true, and the definition of God as realistic. God does not need these emotions because He is in full control, we are not. Before Bart Ehrman became an agnostic, he was still a Christian. He just got the realization that the bible was not all that he was taught it was. Blind faith calls the bible the inerrant word of God. It is certainly not inerrant. I do not find the quality of the bible to match the claims for it.

@k0smon Yeah, but that doesn't mean that because these "Christians" follow that, that the Bible is wrong. Yes God is a God of wrath, hatred, and jealousy but please read in what context. God made us like him, we feel love and feel hate. That doesn't mean that because you feel hate you are going to go kill somebody because you don't have the authority to do it, only God does. Bart Ehrman became an agnostic because he had trouble accepting pain and suffering in the world.

@valarmanwe I have been there before. It took me almost 30 years, but I took the initiative to open up my heart and just started asking God (at that time if there was one) to show me the way. I started researching and studying. You feel God the most when you are alone, and not distracted. Don't give up. Keep searching and you will find.

@IconicSince85 Most people have a hard enough time speaking with the person / s that live next door to them. And you`re asking them to `accept` a guy who died 2K years ago. How, exactly, does one do that ? I`ve tried it a hunded thousand times before. There`s no one there.

So I`ve given up. I`ll live the life I have to, and whatever turns up afterwards I`ll just have to face, because there is absolutely nothing I can do to alter it.

Bible scholar Bart Ehrman came to the conclusion that the bible was not the word of God, and that it is full of contradiction and error.
