I think this is an episode after they got back from the US after getting tons of poor ratings in NBC and the studio being slow and the spotlights were a disaster. I wonder what happened with the set when it was slow and not working right.

Yeah. At least she smiles in the newer episodes. I don't live in the UK, but I found a couple episodes online and on YouTube. I used to record the episodes when she hit big in the U.S. and I don't know what happened 2 them. But I do remember how stern she was. I bet she got tired of saying the same thing over and over for 9 years lol. Maybe that's y she doesn't put all her energy into it. Hey at least we have the wink. ;). I love it when she does that at the end of each show. :)

I agree with you! :D She has always put emphasis in the welcome for the earlier episodes. Nowadays, she just says it. The earlier episodes show her pride for the show.
