Colonics are unhealthy. You said laxatives are unnatural and your body is never meant have any of that stuff in your body. But you're never meant to stick a tube in yourself and have it pumping water into yourself either. I've had it done once and I felt so dizzy and sick afterwards and I will never do it again. Bottom line, neither laxatives or colonics is natural. A high-fiber diet consisting of fruits and veggies is. ;)

whatever youre getting pumped out of you during a colonic, will come out naturally within the next few days anyway. big waste of time.

2. (and lastly) my experience also is that both gravity and machine colonics can be good or bad - it depends much more on the practitioner than the method, and there are good machines as well as bad gravity setups. there is some certification process for colonics - seek that out - and try to find a practitioner that's experienced but not a fanatic.
that's all - thanks again.

i want to followup to my own comment, to say a tiny bit more.
1. i avoid doing colonics often, because they're so intense. everything can be imbalancing - even water can kill you, in excess! recent medical studies are confirming the larger-than-conventionally-expected diversity and size of helpful intestinal bacteria, and my experience is that eating probiotic supplements and foods (like cottage cheese and yogurt) are helpful after colonics to realize the benefits.
