Wow, some sad commentary taking place here. I didn't know a violation of the rules during a sport, particularly among children, was punishable by physical assault on the part of parents. This was not "protecting his son." His son got right back up after the late hit. This was temper-driven physical retribution for a violation of the rules. Did he rush out to see if his son was OK? Nope. This was was neither brave nor protective. It was assault committed by an immature coward.
