Unfortunately JB, we all now know where to go when the crunch comes... your house. Because, when food gets scarce, it's the people who have gone to the trouble of 'preparing' for the doomsday scenario... you and me...who will be targeted by god-fearing, dog-loving, football heads who didn't see 'it' coming.

The only 'positive' aspect of this dire situation will be that we will starve to death with 'Allahu Akbar' ringing in our ears.

Interesting comments. The Protestant - Catholic conflict is centred on

a secular temporal authority versus a religious temporal authority .

Either way it is simply an argument about money & temporal power

& who should control it . Pope or King . Either way the ordinary Joe

gets shafted .

You can keep many foodstuffs for over twenty years if it is packed correctly.

Check out website for church of Latter Day Saints in the US and they have directions there, they have been doing it for years.

Depending on your circumstances, if you have a little bit of land for example, you do not need any precious metals at all except maybe the lead variety.

People like the Amish have been living without such things for a couple of hundred years.

@stevo728822 Best answer is to be part of the mob. When there is no enforcement there will be no laws. How do you think a good upstanding male is going to act when his 5 kids haven't eaten in a week? I think most people have a basic morality programed in them but if you stick too closely to normal society thinking in a survival situation its going to get you into trouble quickly.
