@bng2 You can animate and model in color is you want to. For this anime animation the animator just wanted black and white for the color theme, to help demonstrate the meaning of the film.

Hi great work! i'm learning how to use blender and trying to make an anime too! but you're closer than me.
I was researching tools and resources to save time, but i didn't test if they will really be usefull.
Make human for human modeling.
Google Sketchup for houses.
terragen (or similar) for landscape
Motion capture and object library (see google)
And Jamendo for Free Sound track.
I Didnt test if this really can save time or would be a pain, i dont have many freetime, if you can, feedback.

Impressive.
The way you put animes into 3d is good.Have you ever tried photorealistic rendering?
And game engine?
Maybe you already know it, but I found very interesting Blender tutorials on Andrew Price's site blenderguru . com.

@pile333 I want to anime and manga style. rendering time is short. photorealistic is difficult and long time. I have not information of game engine. thanks
