@catbrush123 while John may be dead in a physical sense - his spirit lives in our hearts as his music lives in us - just as his spirit and life will live on as we pass it to on to those who follow us - it is our gift to John

@raftindave When those who remember you die, maybe there is a chance that someone will get to know you from a picture, history, song, etc. There is also a chance that those who died passed the knowledge about you to their familiy/friends and your memory is passed on this way along further generations. For instance, I never met John Denver. I only knew about him from an old music album from my father's collection. Since that day, there are quite a few more persons that know about John Denver. :P
