This is one of the first Aurora Diesel Generators ever made. Today it has been replaced by much new models that are green, clean and very high quality. 4 years later people still try and copy it however they fall short. Visit Aurora Generator or search here for HD quality videos showing everything from little portable generators to much larger whole home standby generators.
@Buzzywuzzys You are looking at a older generator from 2006. What Aurora Generators has now on
Aurora Generators website is far better then any others. It passed UL and CSA laboratory testing and is electrically approved unlike all the other bands.

I live in south Louisiana right in prime hurricane territory,,,, and am in need of a good dependable generator that will supply my needs. I was almost committed to buying the Northstar 6600 (running watts) gas powered. Then I saw your 6000 silent enclosed model. Now I'm torn.
Tell me why I should buy your product over the Northstar. My needs are not that extensive but it's very important that I'd be able to power the following.
2 small window units
1 Fridge
1 Small freezer
1 TV or Radio

@BamBamFun Too bad I can't type more here in one post... 10 hours of use in 3 years yeah..... try that with a car and see if any gaskets leak. Oil breaks down rubber and old oil does it even faster. You need to change your oil every 3 months or 100 hours. This is a generator not a lawn mower ;-)

@BamBamFun As for the screw holding the throttle, there is no need. Two springs hold it in a fix position then the governor takes over fine engine speed adjustments.
You know how to get a hold of me, if your for real I'm sure you will and I'd be happy to help you but since you are posting this here I doubt it.
As for made in China... EVERY single portable diesel in North America comes from China other then Yanmar from Japan. What does made in China have to do with anything?

@BamBamFun Doubt it. This generator has been replaced with another model 3 years ago.
You never called me because I would never tell you to return it for a oil leak. The seal around the oil pump costs a few cents and is a rubber o-ring. I'd send you one for free :-) Chances are however that you just needed to tighten it during this break in period.
14 hours of use in over 3 years. Thats horrible! Cant even do that to car it would seize up on you too.

I bought a Generator from you.... you didn't tell me it was "Made in China" and
after only 10 hours of use it started to leak oil. I called you and you told me to bring this 400 plus pounds, fully fueled generator back to fix it under warranty.. like everyone has a truck to do that! So I fixed it myself, a defective seal on the oil pump. Now it has 14 hours on the clock and it shuts off when running for no reason.. I have to keep the throttle open by placing a screw through it to lock it on.
