Hey it was fun for a little while.

this video is almost 3 years old as of December 2009.
I haven't had this Jeep for a year and a half.
I now have a Nissan Maxima. So telling me what to add to my Jeep is totally pointless.
The hill I got it stuck on is also a lot bigger then it looks, as my roommate at the time who taped this was standing up on a hill higher then the one I drove over.

  • @kc8ntp nice, but not being a dick but i could care less my original comment was over year ago. my jeep has been long gone... that thing burnt a huge hole in my pocket.

  • @skaterboy520c I worked as a flat-rate mechanic for 15-years, and I can honestly tell you, I have seen many XJs with over 300,000-miles. I rebuilt the motor in one that had 600,000-miles! I just bought another XJ. This one is a '96 and has 107k on it and looks and drives like new! It has a very minor valve cover leak that I am going to fix, but other than that it is perfect.

  • @kc8ntp i cant agree with the 500k thing. but the rest ya i guess. and ya but at the same time your driving around in basically a beater from the start

  • @FeelTehBa55 Yes, but even without locking diffs, you can still use the parking brake and foot brake to mimic a limited slip while using an open diff. I can make my limited slips act like a locker using this technique.

  • @CherokeeJeeper99 I know your comment is old, but the Grand is so effing easy to put a 2-3" lift on them, that there is no reason not to!

  • @degunboy I have seen many of them in stock trim wheeling. The dumbass kid just doesn't know WTF he is doing. First clue is not having a shovel or a jack with him in the first place!

  • @skaterboy520c Yeah, but my XJ has WAY more flex, weighs about 1000lbs less, gets better gas mileage, faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile, known to go over 500,000 miles without any major problems, and will go places that Grand wishes it could. XJs rule; Grand Cherokees drool!

  • @woogster1983 Oh, and in the situation that he is in, it would not have mattered if he would have put it in low-range. I would have left it in high-range, put it in 2nd gear, and used the aforementioned brake technique. Plus, I would have used the techniques you mentioned, too. Oh, and his not having a shovel or a jack in a 4x4 is the first clue he doesn't know WTF he is doing!

  • @woogster1983 Not to mention that you can use you parking brake and foot brake to make an open diff switch to the wheel that is on the ground. I have been hung up worse than this and used the foot brake and parking brake technique to get me out. You use the parking brake to try to get the rear to switch back and forth, and use very light pressure on the foot brake to try the same with the front. Too much pressure will lock the front wheels and start to put too much pressure on the rear.

  • some of the worst music i have ever heard

    learn how to drive
