I wrote a python script that could listen to the keyboard and send x11 events to programs. The result is AHK hotstring-like functionality

  • Source? Link? Download?

  • link?

  • You guys should see it now, it has a nice GUI and stuff, it rocks!

  • Really neat, I'm currently trying to set it up to do what I want..

By the way, what screenrecorder do you use? I'm looking for a "competent" screencam for linux, and from your video, it seems that whatever you're using is pretty nifty.

  • That looks very promising.

1 question; can it send keypresses like {ctrl} or {alt}, or just alphanumeric characters. I'm wondering if it can control programs like AHK can.

  • That is pretty cool!!

    Do you have a webpage?

Can you send me the script?

    I will appreciate it.

  • I would also like to add that if you visit my You tube page, you can leave a comment and watch all my videos. I also play the piano. If you do decide to visit my You tube page, please leave a comment and, send me a message.
