if weights were not made for dropping, they would have been made of glass...

@studywar except glass is not very dense and you would have to
lift someting humungous to get the same effects lol

hey im 16 and I have a really skinny vascularity (if i got that right). Im 6'3 and about 150 lbs. I started lifting a month ago and its been going good, but I have a lot of trouble getting a good back workout. I do lat pulls, 1 arm rows, standing rows, seated wide grip rows, and a couple pull ups. my problem is though that I never feel any burn in my back and havent seen any gains in it. if you guys have some tips that would be great, thanks.

@stuartwhite123 your a faggot

Pull with your back and not with your arm. Hard to explain, but just try to relax your arm while you bring in your shoulder blade.

pound on the weight, i can do 110x7 and i dont do power lifts. Keep your back flat and really feel it in you lats, put on some death metal, and make it happen.

Great job billy. Right now I am doing 105 for 5 reps but I mix strength and endurance drills (weights, kettlebells, tire flips, sprints, bodyweight, etc). I got a while to go before I can do 150s, which is very impressive. Keep up the good work. Since your gym doesnt have anything heavier than 150 are you gonna order heavier dumbells online? I have never even seen a dumbell above 150 so Im wondering where you could obtain one.
nice form there but the thing is when you go really heavy its hard to have good form i row with 130lbs dumbbells but i am a big guy to 6 foot 290lbs if i don't row heavy i feel like i did not do a good back workout my motto is all or nothing....

i agree 100 percent, at the moment i'm hitting the 150s for 12, unfortunately that's as heavy as the dumbells go at my gym...

well i have done 160-170lbs dumbbells before but i hurt my bicep so i stick with 130's and also i am more into form even as a big guy...to me form and reps build the muscle...

i hear ya, my biggest fear is a torn bicep, and that injury is so common too...

Ever thought of controlling the weight on the way down and placing it on the ground tough guy?

the negatives are under control, and i didn't drop the dumbell to be a tough guy, i just went to failure and lost it...
