Dr Reid Oliver's Story - ATWT - Part 73

THIS SCENE IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF BITTERSWEET for me.

It's Luke at his very best and most special. THIS is what Luke Snyder does best... care, love and make people feel wanted.

Reid's so insecure. It's understandable given even the SMALL amount of stuff we know about his life so far. For a guy so harsh and seemingly unstoppable, it STILL gets to me how much he struggles with some things. You see him as unshakeable and completely TOGETHER and I think it's only Luke, Katie and at odd times, Bob, who see the man underneath.

I love the honesty that Luke hits Reid with. It's so great for him. There's no masking feelings of hiding Noah. He's there, he's a part of it regardless of what people say. I love how Luke gives Reid a taste of his own medicine... he's TOLD. It's their special dynamic again.

"You're the one that I want to be with. If I wanted to be with Noah then I'd move to LA with him. Ok?"

I mean, if that didn't make your heart swell about a MILLION sizes then I don't know what will.

Reid's so ... I can't think of a word fitting enough... enchanted?

It's something I've ALWAYS wanted for Reid. Someone to give back what HE dishes out. HONESTY and for it to be something NICE, something comforting. Presuming Reid hasn't had a life full of moments like this makes it ALL THAT MORE beautiful....

....the kiss. Well, what more do you need to say? It's a LUKE kiss. I mean, how Reid turns him down is BEYOND me. Luke and his affectionate ways, teamed with his words... it's perfect. I can understand Reid leaving. It shows respect for Luke that he didn't want their first time to be when Reid's so distant.

AGAIN, DAMN YOU CHRIS HUGHES.

When Reid said "home" .... oh man I am sure I misted up a little. Yes, I love him too much :P

It seems so frustrating to Reid. I mean you can understand it... here's a guy who hasn't had much of relationships, love and caring... he sees someone hurting and it seems to hurt HIM. He can't stand when someone HE cares for (the small number) in pain. It's almost child-like. He's so incapable of accepting those things that he can't sit still and can't do NOTHING.
It's so admirable.

I swear I write a love song to Reid in every video. I'm totally NOT ashamed either. HA!

I agree with Reid on the fact that if i was dating a guy i wouldnt want his ex brought up on every date.

....So actually, only one word fits: love L-O-V-E, in all it's meanings, physically as mentally as any other meaning there can be. It's feeling love and feeling being loved that he's experiencing. And I'm so happy for him.

"Enchanted" is not the word that comes to mind when I have to think of a word fitting the state Reid is in. I think it's much more than that and much less innocent (I'm not a native speaker, maybe unspoiled is better?) than enchanted. Thinking about it, so many words come up and I guess that's just it: it's all that! [to be continued]

I hate the way Chris' illness dominated the last part of ATWT and took so much away from Lure time....What were these writers thinking??? Didn't they realize, but this time, Lure was the reason most people watched the show and Luke and Reid together was all we wanted to see until the end...

I refuse to accept the ending ATWT writers stuck the fans with! In my mind, this was all a bad dream (too bad the show didn't listen to the fans and actually write that dream scene into the show's ending). I never watched the last scenes with Luke and NOah, couldn't bear that. It took me weeks to finally watch the "death scene" and I really wish I had never watched it. Luke and Reid had, without a doubt the BEST love story I have ever seen!!!
