Poet and educator Thylias Moss reads selections from her award-winning collection, "Small Congregations." Series: "Artists on the Cutting Edge" [12/1997] [Arts and Music] [Show ID: 3386]
Sadly she knows little about religion.....one of the many poets and 'educators' who mistakenly believe that poetry is a shortcut to understanding Allah, Shaitan (who was not ever in competition or an angel) and therefore, that part of her work fails and fails miserably to those who know a little bit more.
It took me while to "get" to her..but she is very original. I liked especially the last one about the strange medicine/pancea - very clever. Certainly someone to be watched!
