Here's a twin setup of the model 2 emulator running on a simulated token ring network as the original boards did. I took this to show (not sure if it will show on your tube due to the frame rates) that the emulator gets a bit out of sync from instance 1 & 2. Also, the game runs flawlessly on my computer with no frame skips but for some reason between the capture software, re-encoding, and uploading to youtube, it looks like it's skipping in places. Q6600, 4gb ram, Nvidia 8600GT

  • How did you do this??

  • Two instances of model 2 emulator and think set one as master and one to slave. Also change the emulator ini file for the network where each emulator points in a ring.

    instance 1

    ip = 192.168.1.1

    next = 192.168.1.2

    instance 2

    ip = 192.168.1.2

    next = 192.168.1.1

  • Yeah, it's your capture software that's causing the frame-skipping. My desktop has an Intel Core Quad and I use Windows Media Encoder on it. When I recorded a small sample of "You Don't Know Jack XL" through there at full framerate, there were no refresh rate issues.

    As for the content of your video, pretty awesome. I'll try this shortly (mainly for research purposes, because you never know if I get the real machine).

  • when i tried to have the third instances of the emulator, i ended up screwed the other 2.....

    btw i just love to see this attract mode... hahaha

  • Fuck, I want this music as my ringtone...

    They did. I remember seeing Daytona USA attracts that spanned 4 cabinet screens in an arcade about seven years ago. At certain points during the attracts, the screen would split into two and four screens before merging back into one screen, then dividing back into the normal four screens for the V.R. buttons.

    Sadly, that arcade's gone now, and to date, that was the only place where I saw a multiple-screen Daytona USA attract.
