The proof is in the pudding. There is no need to blatantly hate. TO anyone that doubts SWD abilities feel free to spend several hours looking at the 100's of clips on yt that showcase the students skills, both on the field, in the stands and also during symphonic season.
How many schools go to festival #1, #2 turn their stands around and play from memory, lengthy, high level pieces and score straight superiors in NO like SWD has? Go ahead I'll wait..........

Ok...1. This not one SWD better shows but it wasnt bad.
2. It seems majority of the bands in NO or trained to emulate SU and the SWAC volume rather than actually working on musicality and musicianship. Many of the bands lets just be real sound terrible but it seems directors and kids dont care as long as its loud.
3. SWD students are skilled, you cant even march if your not in one of the symphonic bands. Musicianship, quality sound, technique is what SWD is about not size and "sounding loud".

aint shit weak bout swd... they had a strong sound with great tone.... lousiana bands are strong but sound band as hell... something we call a swac tone....real musicians no its a bout a gooud tone over power

@daburtonboizay 1.. i'm not a nigga, and not hatin, just callin it like i see and hear it... pre Katrina New Orleans bands was half that size and double their power.. they sound ok but the volume atl bands porduce is always on middle school level..
