I spent a lot of time on this & you watched it for free, so PLEASE comment (Say Anything), rate (2 Thumbs Up) & subscribe. I don't get paid to do this so return the favor.

This is a review of arcade coin-operated games year-by-year: "Frogs" by Gremlin/Sega was released in 1978. The video game review footage was emulated on MAME.

This is an alternative site for video game reviews on YouTube other than Classic Game Room - Incomcompany (CGR), The Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN) who is also know as James the Nintendo Nerd (JNN) or Irate Gamer. There is no cussing here or 8th grade humor. BiffsGamingVideos brings you expert reviews and high quality videos.

  • I guess this is before he tried to cross busy streets and navigate tricky rivers.

  • The sound effects are awesome +)

  • @BiffsGamingVideos I see. Do you have many issues while recording? I only have the option of recording uncompressed AVI and it bogs down the system so much that it's nearly unplayable. :( This is on a Pentium Core 2 Duo T5500 (1.66hz) + 4GB of RAM system.

It seems to record ok though, but really makes it hard to play. Do you have any tips on how to get around this problem?

  • @videogameobsession You make the videos right insode MAME. It'll record AVIs of the game for you as you play.

  • @BiffsGamingVideos Right, but how do you render the games to a video? Does it do it within Mame? Some versions have the ability to record to an AVI within the program. Or do you use Fraps, or do you use a video capture device such as Pinnacle or Hauppauge? Thanks.

  • I'd have been 2 years old when this was out, hench never seeing it, I remember Konami's Frogger fondly though.

  • @TheNews1990 that's why i repeat stuff in different videos.

  • Kinda like "Frogs and Flies" for Atari 2600. That was a fun game, you could use 2 settings, 1 was restricted to only jumping from side to side, the other let you jump any way you wanted, including into the water, which i had a blast just making them look stupid and jumping into the water constantly.
