OMG! 0:53 TOO funny! but they are Great I love this song. I heard it once on the radio and didn't know they name of it. I though I wouldn't ever hear this again. Finally!!!
On the recording the female part was sung by a female. Henry sang it when the female back up singers weren't there. Bobby also is the original lead singer on the recording and this video. Phillipe (big moustache) is the lead singer that left later on.
I'm a huge Spinners fan, and this is EXACT studio version of the song, with NO variation...meaning they are lip synching. I have no problem with that I suppose, but I think the lead singer changed, and the man leading this is not the voice of the original lead singer--who I can't think of right now. GREAT SONG though, GREAT group---wish they had done it live though. I don't think fans or people were attuned to the concept of lip synching AT THAT time. Love those Spinners!
