Went on a mission trip last year to the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma. (Though, these particular indians are Creek, not Cherokee.) We loved to hear them sing in their language. I just had to film them.

  • yeah, ok , right , im so sure ur totally right !!!! but thank u so much for ur concern as well ..

  • @theladydee0829 This is a hymn meant to praise God, not to please you. I'm sure that these people are more concerned with praising the Lord than making you happy. And I'm sure He is more than happy with the quality.

Mathew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

1 Chronicles 16:8 Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.

  • Well this Muscogee Creek Indian disagrees! It sounds good to me and they put great effort into singing it for people to hear. This song can be sang in Creek and english so I dont think that would matter.

  • heritage

  • christ isnt supposed to be kept a secret

  • dude i agree wit u, tribal singing r supposed to b kept scared.

  • im so disappointed in this CREEK INDIAN SONG, im one of the CREEK indians&i cnt beleve they would even post this, it's so not good&for us does no justice on how it really is suppose to sound, & this is not the way it is suppose to sound, just saying from a REAL CREEK INDIAN, PEACE...

  • These are my people. Stand bold. An stead fast.... Native Pride... I'm proud of where i from....

  • @wuliechsin I sure hope this is not an issue. This particular hymn exists in sheet music, including some american christian hymnals. Although my suspicion is these are elders and not tribal singers (somewhat akin to having the congregation singing instead of the church choir), this video represents a very important documentation of the actual hymn as the Creeks would understand it. There are very, very few people alive who retain knowledge of this dying art.

  • What kind of mission trip did you go on?
