  • Very, very ambitious project. I've seen VG30e maxima, with Stillen Body kit and turbo added, similar to early Nissan 300ZX motors from late 80's and early 90's. But I'VE never seen the 5th generation motor added to the 3rd generation car. The wiring alone must have been very, very difficult. There is no weight advantage to the older model, why transplant the new engine to older car, instead of adding turbo to VG30E ?

  • @alexnds1 This 92 Maxima weighed over 3400lbs stock with driver. Now it weighs 2600lbs with driver. There isn't much of a weight savings by going with this AT 3rd gen compared to a 5th gen, but I've had this 92 Maxima since 2001. So, I didn't want to scrap it in exchange for a lightweight Sentra or something. The wiring isn't too hard if you take good notes and have patience.

  • is this an autoatic?! D:

  • why automatic transmission?

  • @albokidnj It's more consistent and holds power better. Plus, it's tough to be competitive in bracket and index racing with a manual.

  • @maxima2fst4u you didnt do the right mods to your LT1, you can easily run 10's with a LT1 N/A with good heads, big cam, full bolts ons and a good intake with supporting mods. a stock LT1 is supposed to run 13's from factory. i just finished rebuilding my LT1 its a 357 .40 over with heads, cam, and a lightweight bottom end and ran a 10:73 on 93 pump gas!

  • @TheLTXCamaro man ive owned mustangs carmaro's u name it my fav is mopar..i dont see no lt1v8 running 12's stock belive me i had 95 camaro ss 6 speed lt1 barley ran a high 13 on a good day with almost perfect launch...dont get me wrong i love american muscle had a 1986 dodge ram d100 with a munchie 4speed with hurst shiter califonia 318 long block bored .30 over ported polished heads u name it was done it ran high 9s miss that truck to death

  • @maxima2fst4u lmfao you know nothing about american muscle! i can get my chevy LT1 V8 to run 9's naturally aspirated. right now it runs low 12's all stock. and learn how to spell camaro.

  • @TheLTXCamaro gay because ur camraro cant run a 12??

  • If that went up against a manual transmission with the same exact parts... it would of got its ass kicked. Why would you ever race with an automatic?

  • gay!!

  • 2:28 GET..FUCKED!

  • Which tranny is that?

  • Those look like mazda rx7 spare rims in the rear
