CNN Youtube Question: Military Force Vs Secessionists?

My CNN Debate Question entry for the Republican Party Debate: "This is Carol Moore in Washington, DC. I didn't have any say when Bush bombed Iraq. Or when Clinton bombed Serbia to help Kosovo secede from its union. Or about the US going to war with China if Taiwan secedes from their union. Like millions of Americans, I'm fed up with special interest rule and possible nuclear war. My question: would you use military force against American counties, cities or states seceding from our union?"

Yes I would.

It equivalent to stealing land. The United States govt funds those States and there is no way the Govt would simply let an investment just "walk away," because they feel they are being treated unfairly which is what the gist is.

You try to steal, you go to jail, you raise arms against us, we will kill you.

@mrceebees14 - duh, you do it on your own land, and that of others who agree with you, not someone elses. Now if it is government land, then that's a community decision what to do. At least in the ideal situation. Of course there are thieves out there who would unjustly steal private and public land, but many of them already are working for some level of current government.

@wapnashki - NATO bombed Serbia because the Serbs didn't kiss their asses, not because they cared about the Muslims in Kosovo. But the fact that the US govt supports secessionists in Kosovo and Sudan sure makes it look like a hypocrite for not allowing it in the US, despite the Declaration of Independence which we celebrate every July 4 which recognizes right to alter or abolish government.

The answer is YES they would. BUT.. they will blame the bombing on Al Quiada or Russia or most likely Iran. It will intend to serve as as lesson to the states they they need the governments protection.

This is exactly how the Mafia works. You pay for "protection" if you refuse your store gets burned to the ground or you get mugged and beaten until you get with the program.

IT is not the problem if people in Kosovo did not have any other land but Kosovo , The problem is ALBANIANS who live in Kosovo (Serbia) started terrorist acts in 1998 in 1980's they wanted their schools to be in their language , than they demanded more and more rights. At the end resulted in they wanting Kosovo Republik They are Albanians who demand separation from Serbia but they HAVE their own country ALBANIA. USA bombing of Serbia does not make sense.
