The name of this tutorial is Blender 2.5 Global and Local Orientation. Thank you to Near Hirsig (nhirsig@tufts.edu). The tutorial on which is this based is at http://www.gryllus.net. Blender uses 3 dimensions, X in red, Y in green, and Z in blue. The default orientation is global. The orientation remains constant, regardless of which object is selected or which view is active. This tutorial demonstrates all the object orientation options in Blender 2.5, including the new Gimbal orientation.

  • Huh you are able to make a tutorial of small things and explain them 3 minutes long??!!! thats what it makes.. very good keep making them....

  • @blenderCGartist I think a good approach is to make short videos so that the viewer learns one new thing. Sometimes the complexity overwhelms the viewer. BTW the book of my Blender 3D scripts will be published soon, this week I hope.l

  • wow these are good! reason i subscribed these are ell rounded, they get to everything

  • @mcclendon707 I'm in the process of publishing the scripts of my Blender tutorials as a book (Blender 3D Cookbook, Volume 1), and a DVD (Blender 3D Cookbook, Volume 1 DVD). Stay tuned.

  • @mcclendon707 Yeah I subscribed to irakrakow just the other day, these are great. Shame he doesn't have more viewers. I've been posting his channel around the internets though, so hopefully they'll come around.

  • @joshcryer Thanks! I'm going to be publishing the scripts of all my Blender 3D tutorials, and a DVD of the videos, very soon. Stay tuned.
