New York, NY US
Fillmore East

Train Kept a Rollin',
I Can't Quit You Baby,
Dazed and Confused,
Pat's Delight (drum solo),
How Many More Times,
You Shook Me.

Wow. I can't believe I saw them so long ago. The show was amazing. They were the lead in group for Iron Butterfly, but when they played, it was clear the music was going to stay with us a long, long time.
I went to the midnight show. Awesome.

An opening set for Iron Butterfly and a very intense and show stealing one at that! Zeppelin was infinitely better than the Butterfly as this set amply shows. Robert's voice in all of its high pitched, amazing 1969 glory and the band playing as well as ever thus far in their short time together. Jimmy is on fire!

Me & my Friends were Fillmore Groupies !!!!
I'll never 4get that night !!!!!!! (I'm almost sure It was the Friday nite Jan 31, 1969 Concert)

  • rorygg1,my uncvle saw zeppelin millions of time as well, some nights they were

just birnt out.others were magical.plants voice took a beating on some nights.

and you know how difficult that is to control?but jimmy was "ON" all the time.

page makes duane and dickie sound like pre-schoolers.simply no comparison.

and i believe that since you know zep's music.studio or live, they could destroy any band alive.(jimi hendrix is the only competition on guitar).nice day!

  • @codehendrix duane, dickie , and berry would blow away zep. i saw zep live in 75. sloppy, but the fans were rabid. the allman brothers were the best live band ever. only guitarist in duane's league was rory gallagher. i'm sure this comment will get the zep fans raving. i like zep, but live, they couldn't pull it off

  • @rorygg1 Led Zep live was weak! Plant & Page couldn't cut it. Only 1968 Live stuff is worth hearing

  • @rorygg1 These guys got way more feeling then u seem to give them credit for........ duane aint got shit on jimmy page even on an off night.... ur crazy.... these got so much emotion and feeeling.... page is one of the best..... his solo are packed with excitement and amazing blues phrasing.......

  • @rorygg1 check out my upload of train from the 1980 Europe tour...it's a little better.
