  • When Page is sloppy he's at least on key. His sloppiness sounds cool too. I like them but wish Beck and Clapton didn't play on it. I don't think they get this song. Page plays the right moods, emotions, and is very passionate. Beck and Clapton were just like,"Let's play our blues scales on top of this! Yeah!"

  • Clapton, Get out of Jimmy's way!!

  • I don't know if this is the Dallas show or not but Jimmy was incredible. Sloppy and brilliant. Beck was his protege and the guy he chose as his replacement. Beck talks about it in one of his interviews. Him Clapton and Page all shared something of the metamorphosis of rock from the Sun Records blues to what we all know and lovingly refer to now as classic rock. In Clapton's defense, at the Reunion arena show in Dallas, Jimmy was a wild ass ride to follow as he played through his Slowhand style.

  • both are great but jimmy is my favourite

  • What a bunch of wankers!!! Clapton WAS the original super group, CREAM. These boys were all in the Yardbirds at some point in time. Page wishes he was as polished as Beck let alone Clapton.

  • @ludwigvan17_...I agree..You can see once he plays "Stairway" his mood enlightens. One can also tell that he really lost a good friend,John Bonham and the band was his family and that was gone. So this,I beleive and correct me if I am wrong, has not really jammed for a bit since Sept.25,1980. He still looks like he was struggling and thank God he got out of that world he was living in even before the tragedy. Page,we love ya Brother!!!

  • @LedWilde _I couldn't agree more!!! That's where Jimmy is very different than Beck and Clapton. I find Clapton to be my least fav of the 3. I guess that's because he keeps playing Layla and Tulsa Time. Page is the most original of the 3...

  • Clapton has always looked like a College Math Professor and not a rock guitarist.

This is a great performance by Jimmy Page. The one thing that is sad is the absence of John Bonham on drums. People speak of the collaboration of Page with Plant, but I think the creative synergy was between Page and Bonham.

  • We're gonna need 8 condoms and a time machine...

  • martinjcamp knows what time it is... :)

  • Clapton's face at 7:12! " I'll never be that good", he's thinking.

  • jimmy gets the american early rock and rockabilly players, and gets there style and presentation/.. and incorporates it into his stuff, whereas jeff and eric are about themselves only
