@primereason -our tribe-have in our posession all of these books translated 4 us,by us 4 our schools&orders&4 the students of the Master Teacher worldwide! However..u can go n2 most bookstores and find sum of these books compiled&translated by western scholars.Then problem is they r not native speakers of the language and there r many mistakes made.4 ex. Kitab Al Mukhtasar fi'l hisab al jabr-muqabala has an entirely different meaning.The word for completion is kamala-Akhmeltu.I could go on but..

@primereason Btw-The words Al Jibra-Al Jabr-The name Jibraa'el or Jibreel or Jibral(Gabri'el)all come from the same root El Jabaar and would mean (the power-strength,strong or mighty)The El u see @ the beginning of the name is spelled Aleph Lamed(alef laam)-the definite article El/Al but @ the end it is Aiyn Lamed or Aiyn laam and denotes"on high,the highest and of heaven or heavenly".Thus it is speaking of a powerful being from on high/heaven as w/all El Malaaikaat-the Rulers(angels).& 2 answer

@primereason U r asolutely correct.However,the word or phrase Al jibra being "min al a'rabiyya"( from the arabic language )probably pre-existed Al Khwarizmi.If u r aware of Al Khwarizmi then surely ur aware that he derived his understanding from an even older source-the Egyptians! Dont believe me? Good! Never believe..theres an entire documentary on it done by PBS where THEY r saying exactly these things.Plz do a lil research b4 challenging everything sum1says.Do that&if u still disagree-cool!
