LOL. Its not one parties problem. We need both parties to work together. If we grow revenue by x percent, then we should cut from entitilements by that same percentage rate. If we do that by a lot, then we should be out of the debt within 10 years. That would be amazing. We need a government like brittain, one that wants to work together.

@KillerWhaleSFl A resource based economy can't work. We don't have enough gold, silver, copper and platinum to cover oil imports for 1 year.

And yes other countries are moving away from the Dollar right now. Not so much so that it is any real concern. If we default how ever It's game over. The large corporations will move out of the U.S to more stable and profitable countries. It would actually be a good thing if this happened but U.S citizens would sufferer greatly for a long time if it did.

@tr28901 we need a resource based economy. not this global parasitic ponzi scheme that is the monetary system . Its going to happen sooner or later, might as well get it over with. Other countries are already getting away from the dollar. Technological unemployment is not going away.

@KillerWhaleSFl No, the worst thing that can happen is that U.S defaults and other countries no longer lend money to us or base currency off ours. Trust me, if the U.S defaults it's the end of the U.S as we know it. We wont fall into 3rd world status but the U.S will no longer be the main super power. Large corporations and other countries will look to more financially stable counties to do business in and with. You will see poverty in this country like never before.
