sounds like the ones up on my school Gym ceiling lol

The fan made this cool sound because you're controling it using a dimmer instead of a 5 speed wall control.

That is kinda awesome. I remember watching this fan video ever since (early) May of 2010 which was before I turned 15. I'm 16 now.

Looks & sounds like 110v fan running at 220v ... my hairdryer does the same when I switch it to 110v and it gets 220v .... it almost melts! One thing for sure, you'd be dead if it came off the ceiling at that speed.

Nope, the fan is made in India which has the same voltage as us. And it's very dangerous to use 220v for 110v appliances:).
You're right, if it came of the ceiling at those speeds, I'd probably have to get under the table nearby (Even then, the shrapnel would injure me pretty bad!)!.

Sounds like a guitar amp a little.
It sounds cool starting up. But I believe that variable speed control is on its way out and its making the fan loud like that.
I don't think there is anything wrong with the ceiling fan itself.

We run our fans on 220v here, that accounts for the "zingzingzing" sound (all fans here make that sound). Only a handful of them are this loud though.
