CP, NS, & NYS&W Action from my Binghamton, NY Railfan Trip on June 8, 2010

Railfanning Binghamton, New York on June 8, 2010

Spent a beautiful day railfanning Binghamton, N.Y. and the surrounding area. Caught some great action on NS, NYS&W, and CP !!!

Here's the line-up on the video...

NS-311:
We start out with NS-311 with NS SD60-I CRQ #6758 in Dress Blue attacking Beldon Hill on CP's Main Line at Tunnel New York. Today 311 also has NS #8383 & NS #8374 to assist in the assault...

NYS&W SY-1:
Next we chased NYS&W's SY-1 and caught him at Chenago Forks, NY. This train runs from Binghamton, NY to Syracuse to interchange with CSX in Syracuse. Today SY-1 is lead by NYS&W #3018, followed by NYS&W #3618, CSX #8813, & NYS&W #3016.

NS-H1G Binghamton Local:
Got action from NS's H1G running around Binghamton Yard with NS #9909.

CP-205:
Also caught CP-205 arriving for a crew change in Binghamton. Today, 205 had BNSF #7320 & BNSF 7336.

CP-39T:
Another nice catch was Buffalo bound CP-39T on the Southern Tier. CP-39T had CP #9655 & CP #9520.

CP-38T:
The final catch was the hot and fast arrival of CP-38T flying into Binghamton on the Southern Tier Line. To help the train into town, CP-38T had CP #9555, CEFX (BlueBird) #1040, & CP #6034

I've always been wondering if NYS&W has some sort of schedule,and frequency because I always miss him going by

@PaulPeirceFan Since I only visit once and a while, I would think quite a few. Given that both NS & CP (and the occasional NYS&W) run into and out of Binghamton, I would say 15-20 daylight trains and maybe more. Mornings tend to be busy. Steve
