"The Warehouse New Orleans... Revisited!" CD and live show relives the music and memories of The Warehouse, a legendary New Orleans music venue (1970-1982).
Shortly after The Warehouse opened, The Warehouse attorney asked the partners to do something about the smoking problem in The Warehouse during concerts... although smoking cigarettes was allowed, smoking "other stuff" was not legal. So a NO SMOKING policy was implemented to appease the city and police.
Then The Warehouse hired a number of male employees to work on concert nights. Each employee was given a "Warehouse New Orleans" jersey and a flashlight... and their job was to walk through The Warehouse looking for anyone smoking "whatever". When they caught someone smoking, they would shine the flashlight on them and ask them to put it out.
This group of Warehouse employees were called... the SMOKE PATROL! And, since we're reliving memories of The Warehouse days, The SMOKE PATROL seemed like the perfect name for the band!
