Is it fair to say that a peveay classic 50 4x10 is the same amp as a peveay classic 50 2x12 only with a different speaker set up? Would love to know this info, Im about to buy a 2x12 and also use my 4x10 cab. if its the same thing. Thanks for any help

I rather like the comparison. Of the two, I'd go with the Peavey tone. Not that one is better than the other... just that I dig the way Peavey's tend to sound. It is almost like they make them just for me. I like this one for blues, rockabilly and jazz and then the 3120 for about anything else.

@CowcarMusic lol alright thanks, I dont get how everyone has a great classic 50 and the one I had was the worst one ever, It had rips, the entire top was melted, knobs broken, speakers blown, pots dirty, inputs didnt work good, ect, ect, ect... So I sold it for real cheap because it felt like i had a bag of garbage sitting in my corner. consider yourself lucky haha

@AbetheGuitarist Hmmmm.... 2 different beasts! I love the Blues DeVille because of it's Vintage tone... it sounds like you are hearing more of the speaker itself when it's broken up lol... and the Classic 50 is amazing because of its' drive tones and it's solid cleans... I love them both! It's like asking someone their favourite child or something lol
