@xoxodolphinloverxoxo im not a doctor I know.. but the moment they mentioned the poopy diapers, coming along with the baby not growing well triggered the thought of the baby simple not processing the nutrions. The first woman brushing it off was ignorant..

You really have to give them credit that's for sure. I know I could never make it through medical school. Even if by some miracle I did,I could never handle the stress of their job. So,while it may seem easy to criticism from outside the lab coat try and give them some credit for trying. They do the very best they can :)

It may seem very easy to diagnose someone from behind a computer screen but, believe me it is not as easy as it seems. That's why they try and start with the most common illnesses they see and what may be the most life threatening and work there way from there. They see it all and yet, some things still shock and stump the very best Doctors. You would be very surprised at some of the things they see and how hard there job really is.
-
And yet, they still do not know every illness and disorder there is. Because of how many there are and because there are new ones emerging that they just discovered. That's why Doctors have to get so much continuing medical education credits per year to keep their license. This is also why there are medical specialists in certain areas such as Podiatrists,Neurologists,Gastr
oenterologists,etc. -
Have you ever looked at a medical book? There are medical reference books that some Doctors keep on there desk. Even the home diagnoses books should give you an idea. If you have you should know how big they are. The reason is because of the number of illnesses and disorders there are. There is a reason Doctors go through 8+ years of medical school. It's because it takes a very long time to learn all of the illnesses there are.

@blondecat.... It's easy to say from your point of you, but essentially at med school you are taught to look for horses no zebras, zebras really don't come along that often in the scheme of things. Everything else is a process of elimination. So unless you have medical training (which you clearly don't), please refrain from making such uneducated assumptions.
Are you a doctor? You have no right to say that if you're not. They take time to diagnosis someone because it truly is a mystery-but I bet you could figure it out right away right?
;D
Cut them a break, at least they eventually figure out what is wrong and it's interesting to watch

blondecat666, they have to find out an extremely rare disease that was little know when this happened, so you need to give them a break, and remember, they need to determine if they're going to do a life threatning surgery, so you just need to be patient like the family. And all the tests that where possible without killing her were negative, so they're doing the best they can
