What program did u use to record. I got a core2quad9550 @2.83ghz and a gtx 260 and use fraps and record at 60fps but sometimes it comes out choppy, even after a mild overclock

Thats since you probably got like 150fps+ then fraps need to work just to keep the fps down. Put max fps around 65fps if you want to record at 60. Or if you want to be sure it will be smooth and nice Put max fps at 40 and record at 30.

you dont get good FPS on this maxed out with that resolution, like 30-40 FPS. HD 5970 gets like 80-100 :D

an hd 3300 or an 8400gs ( 512mb) no overclock will run this game better?

both cards are very weak for newer games, if you are aiming for a "brand" computer try look for other options.
