She is the expressive, inviting voice of Nite Life - KEXP's popular Friday night show. She is the acclaimed producer of KEXP's signature Radio Documentaries series. She is Michele Myers and she wants you to listen to the music.

The first thing she does before she goes on the air every Friday night on Seattle's KEXP 90.3 FM is to move all the chairs out of the studio. There will be no sitting down for the next four hours. Watching her dance around the DJ booth, singing along with her favorite tracks, is to see someone so completely in their element that one cant help but be reminded of the best parts of childhood when everything was extraordinary and new. She can string together a series of songs from seemingly disparate genres and somehow have it all make sense. No, more than make sense the way she puts her show together reveals the inter-connectedness of music. Shell find similarities in songs because of the rhythm that two tracks share or because of the shared intention of the artists that created them. Or because both tracks just make her feel a certain way and that is how the mix is born. From soul and R&B to punk rock, indie rock and electronica - Michele's taste runs the gamut as she hand picks her mix for the night.

KEXPs Radio Documentaries is where Michele gets a chance to explore the musicians, their stories, and their process in creating the music that she loves. She's produced series such as Punk Evolution, Masters of Turntablism, Music Revolutionaries, The Heart of Soul and Death, Drugs and Rock n Roll. These are extremely well researched and lovingly produced stories worthy of a national stage and we are very lucky to have Michele producing them right here in our own backyard. You can listen to archives of her show and the Radio Documentaries series at KEXP.org. And Friday night at 9pm wherever you happen to be lock it on 90.3 FM for the best way to start your weekend.
