Jesus did it ALL at the Cross and beyond. We believe in/on Him and we will be saved. We don't do anything to "maintain" our salvation or to keep it. It's ETERNAL!
It's a Gift of God.. not of works, lest anyone boast. We cannot do anything to earn it.. and God's not an 'Indian-giver."

He misquoted, in reality it's 2 Timothy 1:8-10.

Good fruit, bad fruit, good karma, bad karma, christianity and buddhism both aim at the same target dont they.

No they don't. Buddhism teaches that one has to work and become better on his/her own merits in order to find peace.
Christianity OTOH says that we are all under God's just wrath, and no one can do anything on their own to be made right with God He in fact must change you in order for you to be made right with Him.
Another key difference is that Christianity teaches there is a personal God we can know, whereas Buddhism denies this.
