@weinerbongo Welles was as pleasant and jovial a man as you could ever meet. But he would not brook stupid people telling him what to do. Listen carefully to the "Frozen Peas" recording a few times and you will discover that he was being asked to read horribly written ad copy by complete incompetents.

@weinerbongo There's a famous outtakes tape (audio only) of Welles being grumpy and pompous while recording voiceover for frozen food commercials. It's worth a listen, it'll be on Youtube. Some of the lines here come from that ("Yes, always")
