I AM Afraid to Lose!

SarahWillBeSkinny posed a very interesting question... Are you afraid to lose? Am I afraid to "physically" get skinny... no. Am I afraid of what happens NEXT after losing the weight... YES!

I had to do this in two comments it was too long.

The rest I'll have to work at. One thing for sure is I pray I stay the same, I know ill change but I mean I see people get this surgery and than change and forget they were fat and act like their better now and I hate that, I never wanna forget I was fat or forget who I was but I do wanna be skinny and healthy. Ur a sweetheart and ur doing great and I have confidence u will succeed! :)

I thought Loosing weight would make job hunting easier & now I know its not but in a weird way it will for me cus I will have more confidence! Cus right now when I interview I feel like im being judged on my looks not my skills! Loosing the weight I hoped some people would take me more serious but in the end I am only doing this for my health.

I'm not looking to be a size 2 but I think being a big person most of my life we look to society for approval . It would be nice to have a door held open for us and not shut on our face . But we always look for approval from people ... Thank you ! love your video . Christine

great video! it isn't a magic bullet, but, the great thing is that we can choose to be happy as we go thru each step of this journey...it is totally a choice, not something that happens as cause/effect.. my opinion anyway... you look great, btw!

you know, it's funny...

(as you know - I haven't had the surgery yet...)

because other people have mentioned just along with other things in their videos - that they didn't have the weight to hide behind anymore... but I think it hit home a little more with your video - because you were more specific. (f.e. - making excuses in social situations) Thank you for making this video. Got me thinking.... I am so grateful for this community, it's really helpful to be more prepared, prior to surgery. :-)

OMG.. I have had all those thoughts myself. I have hidden behind my weight, it has been my security blanket as long as I can remember. What if... but then I listen to my skinney friends and they are unhappy. I know the weight loss isnt going to fix me inside but i hope that focusing on my inside while changing my outside will help me be healthy and happy. at least i hope.... by the way, when your emotional pick up that camera it helps us to :)
