  • I have not had this surgery myself but have spoken to some who have. They tell me the pain is not so bad as you would think. They all said it was much less than expected. I hope you will have the same experience.

  • Open heart surgery is a very normal procedure these days. stick with salads and a high fiber diet and quit your job if you work in a cubicle. and exercise hard.

  • @Ashee9955 You will be fine! I had open heart surgery when I was 16, im 26 now. They will take good care of you at the hospital, they will make sure you have medication so you dont feel any pain when you wake up. If you have any questions let me know and i might be able to help :)

  • I have to get this same surgery in a couple of months and I'm only a 16 year old girl... Now in officially scared

  • This is an open heart surgery, I had it 6 years ago for my atrial septal defect and now I feel wonderful and happy since I was already old (30 years) and I was starting to have a lot of problems, specially with my lungs. To be healthy is to be rich!
