Cupid's Inspiration - The Sad Thing

I just discovered this great single by this band yesterday and have been playing it pretty consistently since then haha. Cupid's Inspiration are known mostly for their song Yestaerday Has Gone, but outside of that hit they have some suprisingly good tracks. This dong in particular reminds me of a combination of Timebox and The V.I.P.'s. The lead singer kind of has a Mike Harrison feel about him. But ya this is a top notch recording and fairly easy to obtain on vinyl or cd!

I don't know this song until now. I have in my cellar only one single from this group, and it is called "dream" with great and clean drums . It it even better than "yesterday has gone" on the same single but i don't find it on you tube.

Ya that 45 is amazing as well. Unfortunatly imo they didnt produce as great of songs on their LP. But this and the Yesterdays Gone/Dream 45's are absolute top notch

The introduction is reminiscent of the intro to "I Close My Eyes and Count to Ten" - by Dusty Springfield - immortal lady, immortal track. Try "My World" as the best track I know of. Big mood, big voice.

A lesser know song ,by the band ,but still a great track from the flower power era,THAT'S THE SAD THING ABOUT IT .
