A duo of female "scientists" shows that human races don't exist, because they can't be identified on the basis of SEVEN (!) DNA markers. In reality, the accuracy of genetic identification rises with the numbers of used markers, because genetic differences among humans lie in their characteristic mutual combination. With the growing number of DNA markers, the accuracy of racial/population classification rises rapidly.

With the use of a sufficient number of DNA markers (something like 400), the accuracy rises to 100%.

These human clustering studies consistently show that humans are separated into 5 main genetic clusters (Sub-saharan African, Caucasian, Mongoloid, Australoid (Papuomelanesian) and Native American.

When even more markers are used, a more subtle population division can be identified, e.g. between northern and southern Europe.

You don't have to agree with this show's views, even if you open your mind and heart to it, but be respectful. Even if they are brainwashing people, I think it's for a good cause. And here it's considered basic textbook material, or main-stream science. You can not spend your life personally verifying every last bit in the textbooks. And as I concluded in my comments above, while there might be some additional details to that knowledge, it holds true for the general population. Which isn't odd at all, as also detailed in my previous comments.

Either way, when reading the study you cited, I do not find support for your statement that intra-variance is greater than inter, given the world population. It might hold for some geographically isolated populations, but overall it still does not seem to be a meaningful construct.

Seems like a lot of work to properly read into that research. For one I have many questions with the populations they used. Also in their discussion they mainly seem to agree with me. I of course don't deny the presence of certain genetic factors in certain populations, e.g. sickle-cell and whatnot.

But are you really keeping in mind that the common use of race in humans reflects to people thinking they are a different 'species' of human? With different skills and abilities.
