It's a great place and very easy to get to. Simply catch a plane into Labuanbajo, catch a bus into town and catch a little boat to the island. Simple!

Hi there, from where would you recommend to catch a flight? is it easy from bali - or is it even possible from jakarta? Unfortunately don´t have much time in summer and want to go to labuanbajo and islands an snorkel and see many many mantas :)

Well, I think most flights will connect through Bali. GT Air and merpati, I think. The planes are those small propeller ones from the 60s, but they're OK. Any travel agent in Indo can hook you up with flights even if they are fully booked. They will simply bump someone else off the flight if you pay more.
