@teakanyA few months back I felt alot like you do right now. I'm still working on"living up to my own values" each day.At the time, I didn't know I was"under his spell"of emotional abuse.Looking back over the years, I was treated very bad for a very long time. Actually feeling pain from emotional abuse, like real physical pain. You need to find good friends or family that help you stay in the real world and don't fall back into the abusive world.Find support groups or women's shelter for advice.

These messages are not sent out enough. People need to hear more about abuse. Especially the person being abused. Very often you aren't aware it's abuse. You need someone to "wake you up from it" And, you can overcome it! It takes the right person to support you to get back into the "right world"
I'm glad Aaron Pritchett wants to tell this story!

this song means so much.. I'm trying so hard to work through everything my ex did, all the things he made me think. I'm so timid now, I don't know how to be myself anymore, he made me scared to be me. I'm getting through it slowly, relearning everything. I'll get there, but it makes me angery. I shouldn't have to need to deal with this. no one ever should.

i love this song but its hard to listen top without crying cause from when i was 6 months to 14 years of age my mom was abused and i had to watch him hurt her for so many years :( untill i got back at the bastard and pulled a knife on him and told him if he didnt get out i was gunna cut him he didnt believe me and he went to go touch my mom again and i sliced his arm open by then the cops showed up and he went to jail hes out now and whenever he sees me he dosnt even look me in the eye im proud

i can watch the new rambo movie and not even flinch, then i see this women getting abused and its like, WHOAT WTF! im glad musicians are bringing this problem to light!
