Moira House is an outstanding independent Boarding and Day School, situated on high ground in Eastbourne with views over the sea and Downs. Moira House provides continuous education through Nursery School, Junior school, Senior School and Sixth Form.

Moira House is set within 15 acres of attractively landscaped grounds, on the outskirts of the historic town of Eastbourne on the south coast of England.

Eastbourne is only 75 minutes from London by train and has easy access to two international airports, Heathrow and Gatwick.

Founded in 1875, Moira House welcomes girls from the age of two to eighteen with full, weekly or flexi-boarding offered from the age of ten. The school takes its name from the first premises in Surrey which belonged to an Irish nobleman from County Down, the Earl of Moira.

We pride ourselves on our excellent pastoral care and careful attention to the needs of each individual and provide as many opportunities as possible for girls to develop their full potential within a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
