  • Very interesting recording! I love some of the colors the slower tempo brings out. Usually the harmonies just whirl by.

  • Ginette Neveu was still a teenager when she recorded the Strauss Sonata... just after she won the first prize at the Wieniawski International competition, before Oistrach,29, who was awarded the second prize. Avery powerful and passionate musician she was already. More than a mere prodigy...Listen how she sings and the individual soud...Unique!
