Music video to Joseph Lee Hooker's pop sensation "No Gas" chronicles the journey of gas prices in America from 25 cents a gallon to infinity. The song depicts the irony of society's choice to struggle, complain, beg, go to war and starve all in the name of gas consumption, while other better and cleaner alternatives are readily available. "No Gas" gives us all a chance to laugh at our own pain over gas prices, and is a timely call to raise consciousness regarding viable alternatives.

  • I drive a Toyota Supra today, but when I can get a hold of a highway capable electric car with good range... I'M BUYING IT!

  • you and me both -- i wanted to buy one back in the 70's when I wrote this song -- and when all the GAS LINES were driving us nuts -- then the electric car kind of went extinct there for a while -- perhaps a function of the oil companies...? Anyway, i'll be second in line after you.

  • The song " No Gas" is featured on the album "Hello World" by singer-songwriter Joseph Lee Hooker. The album was finished in 1987 but a year later Joseph Lee Hooker traveled to a town in Yugoslavia called Medjugorje. On Easter Sunday 1988 he photographed a image in the clouds called "The Good Shepherd." It changed my life. Its a photo of Jesus in the clouds . The "Hello World" album was finally released 24 years later.
