Hey just so you all know the guy digging at the time was 19 years old. He is now 40 and owns an excavation company that is a very well known and does great for starting out like that. You don't have to work for them if you think they suck. If you new the company trust me you would wish you could!

sorry,it seems all of these comments are made by lazy operators... hoist a 100 pound pipe in the hole when it could be thrown? wrong machine? good grief buddy, i guess its the big companies fault in having guys do only one job... those versatile people just dont exsist anymore except for opinions. and we all know we need more of those.... seems like everyone is a superstar!

wrong machine bucket and trench box, health n safety out the window , no banksman ,look at the stae of the sides ,only looks like a 225mm pipe those guys want sacking

I worked on a very similar job only 30+ feet deep. Got busted by the safety ppl for not having the dirt pile far enough away from the cage and a large gap between the cage and the bank. This looks like a very unsafe site!!

Yeah ? on the shoe size its not that big of pipe but maybe they don't have anything else to use . And maybe they don't have a machine with a quick attach . Ditch could be sloped a little more towards the from for the shoe/box on right side . If you are going to send the pipe down by hand send it threw the crotch of the spreader pipe so the pipelayer can get the the end and slide it down his shoulder instead of dropping it on the ground. The main problem is NO LADDER in the ditch or on the box!!

why are they using boxes, why arnt they benching or digging a batter ether side of the trench, the groung conditions dont look that bad. as far as saftey that has gone out the window,and the only time the excavator operator should get out that machine is lunch and home time, the asehole filming should of been placing them pipes in the trench. these guys cant lay pipe for shit . very wreckless.
