What I remember about that Duke game was that he was breaking the free throw record and he commented that the basket looked as big as a bushel basket. It was a Saturday, and after the game, Coach K praised Iowa and especially praised Street. Three days later he would be gone and we would be left wondering how long that free throw scoring would have gone, where his career would have gone, but mostly we were left wondering "why?" Twenty years later and still no answer to that lingering question.

His last game was at Duke. Perhaps the game at Carver that you refer to was his last home game.

That was a nice tribute! I know we will never forget those awesome games back in the 80's and 90's, especially the times when Chris was on the court. He will always be my #1 Hawkeye basketball player and on 1/19/13 there was definitely a 6th man on that court helping to take that game from Wisconsin. We've never been more proud to be Hawkeye fans!!!

Being 30 years old it still feels like yesterday. I happen to be at his last game even though I got sick and spent most of the time in first aid at carver, looking back on it I was just happy to be at his last game and if I remember right they played Minnesota that night.
