Reuben's varsity club football team, the Lakeland Storm, coached by Javier Moody closed out the regular season 10-0 (including the bye week which counts as a win) by beating their biggest rivals, Lakeland Patriots at Bryant Stadium, home of Lakeland HS Dreadnaughts 38-0. Next up is the conference playoffs then the youth Super Bowl. The team has also been invited to Nationals (Under Armour & NFL) in Jacksonville in November to play other Sr. varsity teams from around the country.

The Storm varsity have averaged 38 pts/game (342 total) & held opponents to a total of 13 points. [38-0 vs Lklnd Patriots, 10/31/09; 34-0 vs Lklnd Hurricanes; 52-7 vs Haines City Rattlers 10/17/09, 50-0 vs Bulls 10/10/09; 46-6 vs Lake Wales Gators 10/3/09; 46-0 vs Lakeland Destroyers 9/26/09; 46-0 vs Auburndale Bloodhounds 9/19/09; 38-0 vs Dundee Hornets 9/12/09; 44-0 vs Plant City Eagles 8/29/09]. Reuben also is on the kickoff coverage unit. (In club football, a pass or run into the endzone following a TD counts for a 2-point conversion; a field goal following a TD counts as an extra point).

The Lklnd Storm got on the board first with an option play that worked just as well this week as last week! QB (Trey #12) pitched to a WR who passed to another WR on the game's 1st play! The next series the Storm returned an interception for TD and lead 12-0 after missing 2-pt conversions. Storm scored again and made the 2-pt conversion (20-0). In the 3rd quarter Money (RB) scored on kickoff return which was nullified by a penalty. Lklnd Storm lead Lklnd Patriots 26-0 at half-time. Last TD run by Little Jason (FB #9) but denied on 2-pt conversion. Lklnd Storm scored again on an interception return by Money! He made up for his earlier kickoff TD that was brought back by penalty to put the Storm up 32-0. Lklnd Storm closed out the scoring 38-0 on Gerald's (RB #6) 2nd TD run of game and posted their 7th shutout of the season.
