Beck Single

The Velvet Underground Cover

"Sunday Morning info from Tron: (from June 1st 2009)

We did that about 3-4 weeks ago at Isidore in LA. The female singer is Thorun, I know nothing about her except that she is from Iceland and she's really sweet and beautiful. Other than her it's myself, Giovanni, Joey, Bram, Nigel, Chris Holmes and Beck. "

"This promo was shipped with orders placed for One Foot In The Grave Complete Package" through beck.com. It was not announced prior to shipping and is the only release of this Velvet Underground cover."

"Though the record is only one sided, the label is somewhat oddly printed on both sides."

  • @bleedingrasberry Well I prefer his rude comment rather than your fucking moronic reply

    Fun fact: You misspelled "genius"

  • @TADapling

this whole album was a "spend one day in the studio without any preparation" deal

  • Listen to James Sunday Morning cover. One of the best ever! Search for "James Sunday Morning" at Youtube.

  • @TADapling it's cool whatever your opinion is...everyone on the planet used to cover everyone else's music & it was meant as a compliment & the takes were always interesting. listen to harry neilson's 'the point' & you'll understand why taking the flakey foont position (r.crumb) is futile in stressing over the unimportant & pointless. but hey whatever works

  • a real nod to the vu is for people to make original works. not to make watered down covers. come on people! i bet you anything lou reed or john cale do not appreciate these song because they dont do the originals any justice. sorry. it sounds like some shit you hear in starbucks. i know i'm a hater. i just think beck should be working on new material not using his energy making covers, you see what i'm saying?

  • @TADapling beck wasn't trying to since comparisons have no point, per oblio anyway...this is a nod to vu

  • @TADapling I agree, but he's not trying to. This is still a refreshing change to the original.

  • beck you are cool, but you cant touch VU

  • this song is perfect- of course beck wanted to cover it- i do to in the shower:) no seriously- its a good cover, from his sea change period?

  • does anyone know where i can find a download link?
