For centuries, people around the globe have used Earth's heat: from relaxing hot springs baths to geothermal energy production for entire cities. But the resource has always been limited to areas with sufficient underground warmth. Now, as U.S. officials encourage the development of clean-energy technologies, the industry is developing new, more efficient ways to capture the Earth's energy. VOA producer Zulima Palacio visited a plant in Utah with one of the latest and most promising technologies.

alternative tech is here and has been for a long time. too bad for planet earth fox, disney, cnn, nbc, abc, et al murdoch and cronies aren't pitching it. phazze is right, we have to 'first destroy and pollute the entire planet' before maintaining a livable environment becomes a more important issue to the entertaiment industry than Ts and As

this power source really looks promising as far as replacing coal based power plants. too bad for us that we will first destroy and pollute the entire planet before we come to senses and start using technologies like these.
